The Furnace ...again

Second test today ....last time I wasn't able to get enough head in the furnace so had to think it over again ..... decided it was time to do things less safe and ditched the gas regulator ....
Tried to use a welding regulator on the Butane bottle but the factory guys did see that one coming from miles and used a left thread instead of the right  I needed ......just to prevent the DIY guys blowing themselves up by MIG welding with butane .....
But that didn't stop me ...sourced a scrap part of brass, machined it a bit and used the regulators' bolt ...connected the hose and tried not to think to hard of what could go wrong ......the noise of the burner was quite frightening but hey no pain no gain ....and Eureka after 10 minutes I had my first batch of liquified aluminum......

The Great Captain & I...

There were many reasons :
it rained,
we were home alone,
got fed up with the grinder,
didn't want to carry him all the way through the garden,
Sooooo.....

that's why the great Captain and I decided to play indoors.....happy days

Don't ask if it was noisy because.... you know it was .....

Today ....

.... a small test with a home made tool.
I need to make some dies for my tube bender but don't want to burn a lot of cash .....
that's why I've decided to make them myself out of PVC .....on the small Myford.

Happiness

For the Virago project Crackleport is planning to use a custom made rim so he can rescue a BSA hub and make it useful in a Japanese 'structure'.

"Not a job for the faith at heart" some dealer- specialists told him….but no way back now....

A sad day......

indeed it was when Crackleport found out his Dunelt forks were too small to fit in 21' wheels
